Welcome to the EV Charging Carbon Offset Program (USA)

The EV Charging Carbon Offset Program aims to accelerate electric mobility by generating revenue for EV Charging Network Owners and Operators. It achieves this by producing and selling voluntary carbon credits, which are generated when EV owners charge their vehicles.

02.

Who is This For?

The Program is tailor-made for ChargePoint Operators (CPOs) and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) that own/operate Level 1, Level 2, or DC Fast Charging stations, public or private, for passenger vehicles or heavy-duty ones like e-buses and e-trucks. Chargers must be located anywhere the United States excluding California, Oregon and Washington State.

03.

How Does it Work?

Joining the Program is incredibly easy: it's free and takes just a few minutes online. Every year, during Q1, you'll need to submit your latest EV charger inventory and charging session data from the previous year via API or using our provided templates. Your data is treated with utmost confidentiality. The Program is registered under Verra's Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) program, employing the VM0038 quantification methodology for precise emission reduction quantification. DevvStream consolidates charges from multiple program participants and manages the credit generation and trading process on your behalf.
As a participant, you'll receive 75% of the net revenues on an annual basis, reflecting the emission reductions (measured in tonnes of CO2e) generated by your chargers.
